Frequently asked questions

How many "tickets" are required per school/school district?

You will only need to register once. That registration will cover all of the attendees for your group.

• How much does the networking event cost?

The event is $100 plus the nominal fee Eventbrite charges to process your payment. Total cost is under $110.00.

• How many district/school personnel can attend?

We ask that each district limit their number of representatives to a maximum of four.

• What can I bring to the event?

Table cloth, signage, small gift items for the candidates (such as pens, notepads, magnetic clips, etc.), and candy/snacks for the candidates are allowed.

• How many teacher candidates will be available to meet?

There will be over 100 senior teacher candidates who will be available in several groupings. Also, near the end of the event, the junior candidates will briefly visit so you can get an idea of the content areas for the following year to help your planning.

• Will they have resumes with them?

Yes. The senior resumes will include a small photo and a link to a recent video of them in the classroom. The junior resumes will be standard resumes.

• What content areas will be represented?

Secondary Math, Secondary English, Secondary Social Studies, Elementary, Early Childhood, Art Ed., Music Ed. (both Choral and Instrumental), Physical Education, and Special Education (Multi-Categorical). Some of the candidates will have add-ons/minors.

• What about parking?

Near-by parking on campus will be reserved for attendees. We ask that you carpool whenever possible to ensure enough places are reserved. Parking will be in a log near the gymnasium, and there will be underclassmen in the parking lot assisting you (if needed).

• Can I bring signage?

Yes. However, based on past attendance, there may be limited space for extra banners. A table will be reserved for you which can be covered by a district/school logo covering.

• I generally use signage that requires electricity. Will that be possible for this event?

There will be some electrical outlets around the gym, but they may require long extension cords. Please be aware use of an outlet may not be available. If it is available, the school/district will need to supply its own cord.

• If I am unable to attend, what is the refund policy?

Refunds are offered on a case by case basis. However, no refunds can be offered if the cancellation is within two weeks of the event.

• What if I need to hire a candidate to begin in January?

We do have some candidates who will graduate in December and be ready to begin as a certified teacher in January. These candidates will have a special sticker on their name tag to identify them as December graduates. Everyone else should graduate in May.

• Once I register, what then?

You will receive detailed information during the month of the event. It will provide all the information you will need to prepare for the event.

• Will coffee be available?

We will have coffee and water stations for all guests. In addition, we will have a “goody bag” on each table which will contain some small snacks (crackers, candy, etc.).
