About this event

  • 8 hours 30 minutes

Our third annual Elder Care Symposium is focused on hot topics in the field of aging and elder care. We will look at how gender and race impact a person's risk of developing dementia, as well as the care they receive after diagnosis, develop a better understanding of how to connect with people who have dementia to prevent and address concerning behaviors, examine contributing factors that cause seniors to be impacted by hoarding more than younger populations, learn the best ways to maintain our brain health as we age, take a closer look at the mental health of aging Americans, and much more. This symposium offers an opportunity to learn from experts in the field from around the globe - giving attendees a clear picture of current issues facing our elders.

This event is approved, or has a pending application, to provide the following CEUs:

  • Ohio Board of Executives of Long-Term Services and Supports - 5 CEUs (Approved)
  • Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board* - 5 CEUs (Pending)
  • Kentucky Board of Social Work - 5 CEUs (Approved)

*CEUs approved by this board also meet the requirements of the Ohio Board of Nursing.

Learn from some of the best minds in the field of aging and meet representatives from senior care providers, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, memory care, independent living, funeral homes, technology companies, social service agencies, realtors, and much more.

PROFESSIONALS: $65, INCLUDES CEU CREDITS*

GENERAL ADMISSION: $25*

*All registration fees include a Continental Breakfast, Hot Buffet Lunch, and Snacks.

The symposium echoes our commitment to helping seniors and their families navigate through the complex legal and care issues involving the aging process.
