Paddlers and teams check in at the registration tent to recieve wristbands that give them access to racing areas.

Captains Meeting


Captains meet with race officials for important race information and updates.

Carol and Ellen will be our awesome warmup workout leaders to get everyone ready to paddle!

We hope to have an opening ceremony at this time. More details will be announced closer to event date if we are able to schedule.

Dragon Boat Races


Each team competes in 3 races thoughout the day. The is an estimated time block, but may vary based on number of teams, weather or other possible delays.

Flower Ceremony


Honoring paddlers and loved ones we've sadly lost to breast cancer. The flower ceremony is a very special moment for us to recognize them, and honor the memories we cherish.

Awards Ceremony


We will celebrate our team with an awards ceremony. *The festival and awards may end sooner than these times. This is possibly an overestimate for how long race day will be, just in case :)

A bout the races:

  • 250 meter course, on a lake with non-motorized boats
  • Each team will race 3x
  • Teams will compete within their assigned divisions for awards
  • D ivisions will be determined based on registration

How many people make a full team? 25 people make a full roster to allow for alternates

How many people make a full boat? 20 paddlers + 1 drummer (we provide steersperson!)

What's Included with Registration: Team registration $1000 covers fees for up to 25 people per roster. It also includes two team building practices (valued at $500/each).

What is the role of Captain? They are the contact person for that team. They will manage the roster, make sure all waivers are signed, account that all payments are made, and schedule practices.

How to pay for a team? You can pay the full registration fee, or choose to have your team registration collected on an individual basis when paddlers join your team.

What happens after I register? We will follow up via email within 3-5 business days to confirm your team registration, and will include a link to your team's "Sign Up Page", where paddlers will be able to join. If you are joining the paddler pool, and looking for a team, we will contact you with more info to get started.

How to schedule a team practice? One free practice is included with registration, and can be scheduled by contacting us via website. Extra practices, Team Building & Wellness Plan packages also available.

Do I need to know what team I want to join to register?

No! You can sign up as an individual and we will help pair you with a team based on your practice goals and availability.

How many people fit on the boat?

20 paddlers + 1 drummer (we provide the steersperson).

How old do you have to be to paddle?

Paddlers must be ages 12+ and have signed permission form from parent/guardian to participate. Teams with youth paddlers must have 50% adults on the boat at all times.

What kind of equipment do I need to participate?

We provide all the equipment! If you have your own PFD, or paddle you're welcome to use it, as long as it meets festival requirements. If you have questions about what is allowed please contact festival organizers, or ask a race official before the festival.

Is it ok if I've never paddled before?

Absolutely! Beginners are VERY welcome! A lot, if not most of our teams will be beginners that have never paddled before, or still new to the sport. We provide training, and a practice session is included with your registration for the event.

Do you offer discounts?

Discounts are available for Travel, BCS, Community & Multiple Teams if eligibility is verified. Please contact us for more information on team discounts.
