Player Position Training

Players will be grouped by position for skills training and observation: hitters, setters and defensive specalists. Training will be led by college coaches. Game play will conclude this session.

PARENTS: Unlike other showcases, you're welcome to attend all the sessions!

COACHES: Learn what you need for your next season with your team.

Alabama State's 6-time SWAC Champion Head Coach Penny Lucas-White will lead this multi-day event for players, coaches and parents. Intermediate and advanced high school players (rising 9th graders welcome) will have the chance to network with coaches, receive feedback on their skills, hear about playing at different collegiate levels, learn about the recruiting process, and SHOWCASE THEIR TALENTS, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTITUDE.

Early Registration is $149. Regular Registration is $199 (after May 30). Coaching Clinic is $25.

Frequently asked questions

Who should attend?

Intermediate and advanced high school players interested in playing in college - from junior/community college, NAIA, NCAA to Division I, II, and III. Coaches wishing to learn new drills, better understand the game, and assist players with recruiting should attend.

Can parents attend?

Yes! You are an important part of the recruiting process. Parents will be able to observe (and record) the sessions. Parents are encouraged to attend the "Recruiting 101" and "Which HBC is for U" sessions.

What should I bring and wear?

Wear typical practice clothes: T-shirt, shorts or leggings, athletic shoes, socks, a supportive sports bra, and knee pads. A t-shirt will be provided to all participating players. Bring a refillable water bottle and towel.

I'm a middle/high school coach. Can I attend more than the clinic?

Yes, registered coaches are welcome to attend all sessions, Friday and Saturday. Coaches may also be able to assist during on-court drills and gameplay, if needed.

What coaches will be in attendance?

HBCU and local PWI coaches have been invited. We will add coaches here as coaches confirm.
