FAQ

How do I reserve a seller's booth? Purchase a booth space in advance on this website. You can purchase 2 adjacent spaces if desired. All booth spaces are 10x10 feet. Due to space restrictions the 10x10 space will be strictly enforced.

When can I set up my booth? Setup is at 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM on Friday, May 3. At 3:30 PM all cars/trucks used for unloading must be moved out and parked on the neighboring streets. More details and updates about setup and breakdown instructions and times will be emailed to sellers during the week before the Big Sale.

Is there help available for unloading? Big Sale staff members will provide directions, but are not available to assist in unloading.

Should I provide my own table? Yes-- bring your table and chair(s), and any decor for your sale booth. We are providing a 10x10 space only. You may bring your own snacks and water for personal use while you host your booth. Bring weights to secure your tent in the wind and avoid possible flyaway and damage in a breeze. Unsecured tents will be required to be removed for public safety.

Do you provide electricity? No power is available, and gasoline fuel generators are not allowed.

Are Seller's Permits required? Occasional sellers (defined as "you’ve had no more than 2 yard/garage sales in a 12 month period") DO NOT need a seller’s permit. However businesses and vendors selling new handmade items, such as crafts, will need a Seller’s Permit. Permits are FREE and you can apply online at https://cdtfa.ca.gov/

Seller's Permits are required for the following categories:

1. Crafters selling New Handcrafted items.

2. New and RESALE sellers (such as the cosmetics, health food ingredients, fashion purse, redwood furniture, body jewelry, and new jewelry in general, and lavender specialty items entrepreneurs)

Additionally FOOD VENDORS MUST HAVE THE PERMITS TO SELL AT THIS SALE (PER THE STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION). Permits are FREE and you can apply online at https://cdtfa.ca.gov/

HAVE YOUR PERMITS WITH YOU. It is most probable that a REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION WILL BE IN ATTENDANCE AND CHECKING FOR PERMITS FROM SPECIALIZED SELLERS.

ITEMS PROHIBITED FROM THIS SALE:

• No Firearms
• No Weapons of any kind including but not limited to: Knives, Tasers, Nunchucks, Switchblades, Swords.
• No Propane Tanks, or any container of gas.
• No Gas-Powered Motor Vehicles of any kind including but not limited to: Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles, Scooters, ATV's, Quads.
• No Gas-Powered Watercraft including but not limited to: Boats, Personal Watercraft.
• No Hazardous Materials including but not limited to: Chemicals, Paints.
• No Drugs including Legal Drugs, Illegal Drugs, or Paraphernalia.
• No Activity that involves body puncturing.
• No counterfeit or knockoff property or items forbidden by copyright, trademark, or tradename protection laws.
• No items displaying profane or vulgur language.
• No Animals of any kind.
• No Alcohol

Only designated food vendors are allowed to sell ready to eat food and beverages on the premises.
