About this event
Start your engines! The Dana Point Classic Car Show returns Sunday, August 25, 2024 from 10 AM to 3 PM on Del Prado Avenue in beautiful Dana Point, Southern California. This spectacular show brings 10,000 spectators to the streets of the downtown Lantern District to enjoy 300 classic cars, awards, music, sponsor and vendor booths, food trucks, beer gardens and more. This event is FREE for spectators and is family-friendly.
Car Registration opens April 2, 2024!
Car Registration includes a commemorative participant t-shirt. Select your size t-shirt during online registration. Your t-shirt and registration packet will be given to you on show day at our drive-thru check-in. Upon completing online registration, you'll receive an email with your receipt. A confirmation email with load-in instructions, timing, and additional event details will be sent out in mid-August.
Load-in commences at 7:30am and is first come, first serve. There are no assigned spaces.
During online registration, please input your vehicle information for awards and judging purposes. We accept cars that are 1989 and older for judging. Please note, if you register a vehicle that is newer than 1989 your registration will not be accepted and the registration will be refunded, with the exception of the Eventbrite processing fee as that is non-refundable.
On event day, you will be given a windshield placard containing your vehicle's information. Our team of judges will be walking throughout the event. Please note, not all judges look at every car as they judge specific categories. The Award Ceremony will take place at 2:15pm at Amber Lantern.
Car Registration is non-refundable. Event is rain or shine.

We currently accept vehicles that are 1989 and older.
During online registration, participants will select the class that is most accurate to their vehicle. (Modified, Restored, Unmodified) Judges will score in each class. Additional awards will also be scored such as Best in Show, People's Choice, Mayor's Cup, among 10+ other categories.
Check-in begins at 7:30am. Load-in and Parking is first-come, first-serve. No reserving spaces. For groups/clubs, please meet and stage off-site and drive in together.
The event is FREE for spectators. Families and friends of all ages are welcome.
Yes, leashed dogs are allowed at the event. We ask that you be respectful of the car owners and refrain from having your dog touch the vehicle.
