Thank you for your interest in the 2024 Court Interpreter Training Institute (CITI)!
In addition to this application you will need to submit the documents listed below. Once we have received your eligibility documents, we will review them and contact you to let you know if you've been accepted to the program. Please note that the CITI Application Fee is non-refundable. Upon acceptance to the 2024 CITI, you'll be sent options for paying the $2795 tuition.
These are the documents you will need:
Letter of Interest
You must submit a letter of interest indicating why you want to attend the CITI. The letter should also describe how you acquired your bilingualism and what kind of experience you have had with interpreting or translating.
Resume
You must submit a current resume. The resume should highlight your language experience and any interpreting or translating credentials earned.
Letter of Recommendation OR Other Supporting Document
Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from a current employer, volunteer coordinator, recent educator, or other professional with knowledge of the applicants’ interpreting/translation experience or ability. The letter should include a description of the applicants’ bilingual skills in a professional context. This requirement may also be met by submitting a copy of a relevant degree or certificate, an interpreting or translation certification, a results letter from a certification test, or a similar document.
