We invite you to join us as a Community Resource Provider for our second annual Community Baby Shower!! This free event is for families in Sagadahoc & Lincoln counties, as well as Brunswick and Harpswell communities. It will be held on Saturday, June 1st from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Midcoast Maine Community Action's 34 Wing Farm Parkway location in Bath, Maine.
This event celebrates and supports expectant parents, and new and growing families with children up to age 1 with knowledge about community resources, education, concrete supports, an opportunity to make new social connections, and time to simply have fun together! All parents who register will receive Welcome Baby Bags filled with fun and helpful items, and we'll also have great raffle prizes, and a baby boutique with gently used baby items.
Community Resource Providers will provide families with concrete supports and information about the resources that are available to families within their communities. We ask that Community Resource Providers also include an activity at their table that will be engaging for families such as a give-a-way, a demonstration, educational or fun activity, or a raffle item.
We will have three sessions for families to choose between: 9:00 to 10:30 a.m., 11:00-12:30 p.m., or 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. We're limiting each session to 50 registrants and each of those registrants may bring 1 guest.
We may utilize indoor and outside space. Inside, we are able to provide a table with two chairs for each Community Resource Provider. Outside Resource Providers will be asked to provide their own table and canopy. Electricity availability will be limited. Set up for Community Resource Providers will begin at 8:00 a.m.
