The mission of the Center for Cooperative Media is to grow and strengthen local journalism and support an informed society in New Jersey and beyond.The Center is a primarily grant-funded program of the College of Communication and Media at Montclair State University. <h2>Detroit, 2024: Prepare to partner.</h2>This year's Collaborative Journalism Summit will take place on May 9-10, 2024 at Wayne State University in Detroit.The Center for Cooperative Media at Montclair State University is hosting the 2024 Summit in partnership with the <a href="https://comm.wayne.edu/" title="https://comm.wayne.edu/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Department of Communication at Wayne State University</a> and <a href="https://www.dptv.org/" title="https://www.dptv.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Detroit Public Television</a>.When you register, you’ll find two reception options: We will host a "Welcome to Detroit" reception on the evening of Wednesday, May 8, for folks who are in town early. Then on Thursday evening, we will host a "Welcome to CJS" reception. You need to reserve a ticket for both receptions in advance as SPACE IS LIMITED. Your ticket is good only for you — no guests are allowed. Unfortunately, anyone who is not signed up in advance will NOT be allowed in the venue on either night. We also have low-cost scholarship tickets available to ensure ticket price is not a barrier to participation.
