The National Literacy Professional Development Consortium is a leading provider of staff development and professional resources to K-12 schools. Specializing in the areas of reading and writing, our training team is best known for showing teachers how to apply research-based literacy strategies in ways that are practical and effective. For more than a decade, the National Literacy Institute has been supporting schools with customized on-site professional development, Literacy Institutes, Literacy Retreats and regional workshops.

The NLPDC is a collaboration of literacy service providers, foundations, businesses, School Districts and other community partners committed to the goal of equipping, at a proficient level, children with the life skills of reading, writing, and communication. The NLPDC will galvanize these organizations around a shared vision of a city-wide network of high quality early literacy resources that are accessible, collaborative, integrated, and well supported.
