2024 CGS Research Trip to FamilySearch Library

Evan and Stewart will once again led our annual society research trip to the FamilySearch Library (formerly called the Family History Library) in Salt Lake City.

The trip, led by Stewart Traiman and Evan Wilson, includes:

  • A six-night stay at the Radisson Hotel
  • Five days of uninterrupted research at the largest genealogical library in the world
  • Pre-trip meeting and consultation
  • Guided tour of the library
  • Research assistance by Evan and Stewart
  • Daily hotel breakfast
  • Two group dinners at local restaurants


Pricing:

Early bird pricing until June 30. $1,150 for double occupancy* or $1,650 for single occupancy (airfare not included).

July 1 prices increase: $1,250 for double occupancy* or $1,750 for single occupancy (airfare not included).

If paying using credit card on Eventbrite, additional nonrefundable fees apply.

* There is no guarantee that another double can be found. If no other double is found for a share, the price will be at the single rate.

The trip is capped at 30 participants, so register today to reserve your spot.

This event is open to CGS members only. However, non-members can register by paying a $45 CGS membership fee.

Additional nights can be arranged before and after the event at the reduced group rate.


Payment is due in full within one week of registration.

Policies:

Airfare and local transportation are not included in the fee.

Cancellation fee and schedule: All cancellations must be made in writing. Your registration fee will be refunded, less an administrative fee of $100, if cancellation is received by 15 September 2024. If a cancellation notice is received after 15 September, no refund will be given. (It is suggested that you obtain trip insurance if you feel cancellation is possible.)

The California Genealogical Society shall not be held liable for any loss or damage to property. Additionally, CGS will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury caused by strikes, weather, illness, or any other cause beyond its reasonable control.
