About Our Speaker
Pastor Kenny Grant is a preacher, teacher, and evangelist known for his dedication to speaking the truth from God’s word. Born and raised in Brunswick, Georgia, he entered the ministry in an unusual way. At 18, his girlfriend’s pregnancy demanded that he grow up quickly and prepare to be a husband and a father. At the same time, he entered the Marine Corps where he met the man who led him to Christ, a date he remembers well: May 3, 1979.
While progressing in his military career, Pastor Grant diligently pursued learning the Bible, studying behind influencers like Charles Spurgeon, J. Vernon McGee, Warren Wiersbe, Adrian Rogers, and John MacArthur. While still in the military, he learned how to become a disciple of Christ and how to disciple others.
In 1987, Pastor Grant left his Drill Instructor days behind and planted his first church back in Brunswick, Maranatha Baptist. Since then, Pastor Grant has followed the Lord’s leading to pastor churches such as Christ Community Church as well as Calvary Baptist Temple in Savannah.
Today, Pastor Grant serves as the Teaching Pastor at Community Church of Coastal Georgia in St. Simon’s Island, Georgia. He continues his preaching and evangelistic work and continues to serve as lead teacher in the growing Band of Brother’s men’s ministry.
Pastor Grant has celebrated 44 years with his high school sweetheart, Shirley. Together, they share four children and seven grandchildren.
