Mix and mingle with all classes and distinguished alumni awards recipients. Appetizers and hosted bar will be provided.

About this event

Celebrate and reconnect with your medical school classmates, revisit campus, and hear from students, faculty, and leadership about the evolution of medical education at Iowa at this year's Medicine Alumni Reunion.

Registration is open to all alumni with special recognition for the Distinguished Alumni Award recipients and the MD Classes of 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, and all alumni past their 50th reunion year (Half Century Society).

Thursday, Sept. 12

  • 5 to 7 p.m. All alumni welcome reception - Courtyard by Marriott

Friday, Sept. 13

  • 8:30 - 10:30 a.m.: Medicine @ IOWA educational programming
  • 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Hosted lunch
  • 11 a. m. to 1 p.m.: 50th Class: Half Century Society ceremony and luncheon- Hancher Auditorium (limited to those in and past the 50th class)
  • Campus tours
  • 5:30 - 9 p.m.: Distinguished Alumni Awards Ceremony and reunion dinner - Courtyard by Marriott

Saturday, Sept. 14

  • Hosted breakfast
  • Medical student panel
  • Medical campus tours
  • Iowa home football game: Iowa vs. Troy (Tickets not included. Visit Hawkeye Sports for ticketing information.)

Do you have a hotel block?

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Courtyard by Marriott in Iowa City - University Heights at a rate of $139/night. Reserve your room by calling (319) 569-6777 by June 1, 2024 and reference "UI Carver College of Medicine Reunion" room block.

Is the Stanley Art Museum open?

Yes! The gallery is open Tuesday through Sunday and admission is always FREE. Admission closes 15 minutes before the gallery closes. For more information and to plan your visit: https://stanleymuseum.uiowa.edu/

I'm only able to attend one day. Can I buy a reduced-rate ticket?

Ticket options are available for single-day attendance. We will use this information to determine the number of meals to provide to our guests, so please note that if you purchase a ticket for just one day, you will not be on our list for plated luncheons and dinners.

Are spouses/kids/guests welcome to attend?

Yes! Guests are welcome and may attend for an additional ticket price. Children under 12 years may attend for free; please "purchase" the $0 ticket option for each child under 12 so we can determine the number of guests in attendance.

I'd like to arrange a dinner or other special event with my class. Where do I start?
