2024 Blackwater Adventure Rally

Welcome everyone to our 3rd annual Blackwater Adventure Rally. Located in the heart of West Virginia. This rally location is truly an adventure/dual sport riders paradise! Our GPX tracks provided by Infamous Adventure Routes will leave you in awe! You will discover breathtaking scenery as you pass through the epic backcountry of the West Virginia Mountains. You will experience mountain passes, incredible overlooks, fire towers, lakes, waterfalls, and even caves.

We offer 16 different routes that visit places like: Douglas Falls, Blackwater Falls, Dolly Sods, Seneca Rocks, Sinks of Gandy and the highest point in the state, Spruce Knob. You will also have the opportunity to explore West Virginia Mountain Towns Davis and Thomas, which were names in the top ten most visited in the country.

Blackwater Adventures is a father and son ran company that is backed by an awesome team of friends and colleagues. My father and I love to adventure ride and explore every chance we get. We love the sport and the community that comes with it! That’s the reason we started putting on this event! We try to base the event on what we as adventure riders would like to experience if we were attending a similar event!

Our main goal is to make new friends and do our best to make sure everyone has a blast! The rally will offer fun and excitement for riders of all skill levels. Our base camp will be located at Camp Pioneer in Beverly, WV. Blackwater Adventure Rally will offer camping, catered meals, live music, event challenges and adventure riding skills training.

Blackwater Adventures is excited to also working with a company this year called Drifted Glamping! If your riding in on your motorcycle and don’t want to have to carry extra camping gear, they are the company for you. They will be providing three custom tents to your liking! Ticket & Event Information

1. General Admission Tickets include: event t shirt, 5 catered meals provided by Alpine Lodge (www.lodgeinalpena.com) , free self serve beer for those 21 and over provided by Big Timber Brewing Co, Live entertainment, field games and challenges Friday and Saturday night with prizes, showers and restrooms, 3 days of riding with 16 routes provided by Brian Holmes and his crew at “Infamous Adventure Routes” (http://iadv.info), and primitive camping

2. Catered meals will be served: Dinner on Friday, breakfast, a snack bag lunch and dinner Saturday and breakfast on Sunday

3. Pay as you go food will be provided Thursday evening at the AG building where registration is held

4. Male dorms are available in bunk house style with its own showers and restrooms. You must bring a sleeping bag and pillow.

5. Campers and box trailers are allowed in primitive camping area

6. Campers will be directed to camp site by event staff

7. Early check in will begin at noon Thursday September 12th

8. Event schedule will be released via email and Facebook a month before the rally. This allows us to add new things to the schedule as they become available.

9. GPX tracks will be released via email 1 week before the rally. We will have gps help at the event. We will post times for that.

Purchase Info

1. Info needed when purchasing a ticket: AMA member? If yes provide AMA#, Name, address, phone #, email and t shirt size

2. If purchasing multiple tickets, provide info for each person

3. We may add purchase add on for hoody,s, hats and beanies. I’ll have all the info for that on Monday. These tickets will be non refundable

Event Rules

1. All bikes must be licensed and insured to participate

2. All participants must have a motorcycle license

3. Must have a functioning gps to upload and use gpx tracks

4. This is an AMA sanctioned event. Membership is not required. Membership sales will be available on site.

5. Quiet time is 10:00pm, Required by Camp Pioneer

6. Everyone attending the event must purchase at least a general admission ticket

7. No drinking and riding or driving

8. Please be respectful when passing through local communities and neighborhoods. Be sure to obey speed limits and traffic laws

Motos America Experience Team

Motos America ADV Training and ADV Ride

The Motos America Experience Team will be returning for their second year! They will be hosting two ADV training sessions on Friday September 13th, followed by a ride along Saturday September 14th on a pre-determined route. The morning clinic will focus on beginner/novice curriculum with techniques including vision, body position, throttle/clutch control, and turning techniques. The afternoon class will focus on intermediate/expert curriculum such as riding in the mud and sand, hill climb techniques and high speed braking and skid control techniques. On Saturday September 14th the participants of the clinic will have the opportunity to test their new skills on a ride along with the Team! The team will also be hosting the field games Friday and Saturday evening.

All Must Participants in the Courses Must Have:

• Helmet
• Gloves
• Jacket
• Long Pants
• Boots

The Motos America Experience team is composed of riders that are passionate about riding. motorcycles. They have a genuine love for riding motorcycles which inspires and motivates their students to take their riding to the next level.

The Experience Team comes equipped with many years of riding experience. They have an extensive knowledge in adventure riding, including bike handling, off-road techniques, and navigation skills. But most of all, these guys bring the fun. This Experience Team has found that the way to get the most out of their students is to create an atmosphere that is free of any pressure or ego.

We all come from humble beginnings, so there is no reason to be intimidated taking their courses.

• 5-Campsites with water and electric for additional $30.00

Early Check-In Information

Early check-in will begin Thursday, September 12th at 4PM. Alpine Lodge will provide pay as you go food services for Thursday Evening and Friday Morning.

Check-Out Information

Must be out of facility by 5PM Sunday, September 15th
