Join us for the 7th Annual Arts, Wine, Jazz & Soul Festival hosted by the Havre de Grace Colored School Museum and Cultural Center, Inc. on Saturday, August 10, 2024!

Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Susquehanna River at Concord Point Lighthouse (700 Concord Point, Havre de Grace, MD 21078), this event promises a day filled with music, wine, food, and fun.

Bring your lawn chairs and immerse yourself in the ambiance as you enjoy the sounds of spectacular jazz and soul artists. Indulge in delectable food and sample a variety of wines, spirits, and local delicacies while taking in the majestic view of the Susquehanna River.

All proceeds from this unforgettable festival will benefit the Havre de Grace Colored School Museum and Cultural Center.

He has recorded and performed with numerous mainstream artists and bands including Wiz Khalifa, Chris Brown, Paramore, Jojo, Bobby Valentino, Neck Deep and more.

The event will feature an encore performance of Chandra & RyzeBand. Chandra and the Ryze Band are an integral part of the festival and their soulful sound has energized and invigorated onlookers for the last six years. Their dynamic style is guaranteed to have festival attendees out of their seats and dancing to their unique sound and energy.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Anyone can attend the event; however, anyone participating in wine tasting events must be 21 years or older with a valid ID. Kids 16 and under free when accompanying an adult ticket holder.

What can I bring to the event?

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the music, wine, food, scenery, and fun. *Sealed" water bottles are allowed.

What is NOT allowed at the event?

Pets, pop-up tents, beach umbrellas, coolers, outside food and alcohol.

The Havre de Grace Colored School Museum and Cultural Center, Inc. (HCSMCC) is a 501 (c)(3) non- profit organization. The goal is “to remember, promote and preserve the rich history and legacy of the Havre de Grace Colored School.”

The Colored School holds a special distinction as the first public high school for African American students in Harford County. The former Colored School is now a museum and cultural center. The (HCSMCC), Inc. is devoted to the documentation of African American life, history, and culture in Harford County, Maryland. The 110-year-old Colored School provides an opportunity for those who are interested in African American culture to explore and revel in this history through exhibits and historical displays. It helps all Americans see how their stories, their histories, and their cultures are shaped and informed by national influences. It explores the cultural and civil context and many aspects of American life while displaying how American values like resiliency and optimism are reflected in African American history and culture. In keeping with its 110-year-old history, the former Colored School continues to serve as a gathering place for the community to hold meetings and special events.
