This in-person event will take place on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 08:00 AM in the stunning Meyers Gulch Trailhead, located on Flagstaff Road in beautiful Boulder, CO, USA.

This hike is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts of all skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just starting out, this event promises to be an exciting and rewarding experience. Immerse yourself in nature as you explore the trail and soak in the sunshine of a Colorado day.

During the hike, you'll have the opportunity to connect with fellow hikers, share stories, and make new friends. It's a great chance to network and build lasting relationships within the accessible hiking community. So, grab your friends, family, or furry companions and embark on this incredible journey together!

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants, we recommend wearing comfortable hiking attire, sturdy footwear, and bringing plenty of water and your favorite snacks. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. If you need a Sighted Guide we will partner you with a trained Hike Buddy. If you need a scholarship reach out to Penn Street at penn@aftersight.org.

Welcome to the Aftersight, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing audio access to print information and empowering services for blind, low vision, or individuals that need an alternative to print across Colorado.

What We Do:

Produce and broadcast audio recordings of newspapers, magazines, and other printed materials in English and Spanish.

Create original podcasts specifically for the blind, covering a wide range of topics and interests.

Provide free access to our programming through a variety of distribution channels, including radio broadcasts, streaming services, and digital downloads. We offer free listening equipment to help listeners access our programming with ease.

Offer support groups to connect individuals and provide a sense of community and support.

Host empowering events that bring together blind and low vision individuals to learn new skills, network, and connect with one another.

Provide news and information in audio format for the blind, low vision and print disabled community of Colorado.

Our purpose is to offer connection. We connect people with voices that understand and heal, with tools that offer self sufficiency, with news that informs and educates, with events that empower, and with stories that entertain.
