Celebrating 89 years of the Jensen Marque, we are featuring a 1972 Jensen Interceptor, 2023 Annual Fall Car Show "Other British Cars" 1st Place Winner. Jensen Motors Ltd began building cars in West Bromwich, England in 1935 thru 1976. Some of the more well known Jensen cars include the 541, CV-8, Interceptor, Jensen-Healey, and Jensen GT. Jensen also assembled the Sunbeam Tiger, Volvo P1800, and fabricated the body panels for the Austin-Healey 3000. Considered a technical marvel at the time, Jensen built the first production road car with permanent 4-wheel drive and anti-lock brakes in 1966, the Jensen FF, which was recognized by Car Magazine as Car of the Year in 1967. The lotus-powered Jensen-Healey become one of the few cars in SCCA history to win a championship in its first year of racing (1973).
