The Testify Fall Classic is back for 2023, and we invite you to be a part of it!

This is a strength meet where the contested lifts will be the squat, press, and deadlift, which differs from a powerlifting meet. There is no bench press. Instead, you will perform the standing press. Deadlifts must be done conventionally with the feet inside of the hands. You do not weigh-in prior to the meet. Instead, you weigh out after your final deadlift attempt. A full set of rules can be found by clicking here.

Our past strengthlifting spring and fall meets have been enjoyable and efficient affairs, and we look forward to this one running just as well. Your meet entry fee includes an exquisitely designed and crafted shirt, and you - as the stylish wearer of said shirt - will undoubtedly be the envy of all your friends. Don't miss out (shirt guaranteed only if lifters register by September 16th). In addition, there will be prizes for the overall winners (calculated via the Wilks formula).

Registration runs until 10/14/23, and there are regular and late registration rates, so register soon!

FAQs

What is a weigh out?

In an effort to discourage weight cutting and more accurately reflect the lifter's weight at the time of the lift, bodyweight will be recorded after completion of the final deadlift.

What's the refund policy?

All sales are final; refunds will not be provided.

Is it OK if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Registration should match the name of the participant. Please contact phil.meggers@testifysc.com if there are extenuating circumstances that make this impossible.

Are sumo deadlifts allowed at the meet?

No, they are not. You can take as wide of a stance as you like, but your feet must be inside of your hands.

Do I need to wear a singlet?

Yes - studies have shown that singlets are both stylish and indicative of excellent taste, and thus, singlets are indeed required at this meet. Other requirements include a short-sleeved, collarless t-shirt as well as long socks that extend to just below the knee and completely cover the shin and calf (for the deadlift).  For a complete list of rules and regulations, please see the rules document above.
