The Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will provide transportation and free tickets for the Equal Justice Initiative Excursion in Montgomery, Alabama. This trip will feature self-guided tours of the Legacy Museum: From Enslavement to Mass Incarceration and The National Memorial for Peace and Justice. This excursion will take place on Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Please note: check-in will be at 7:30 a.m. at The University of Alabama Student Center by the flag pole. Spaces are limited, so please register as soon as possible.

This program is free and only for UA Students.

This event will also feature discussions before and after the trip to review the topics exhibited in the museum and memorial. The interactive discussion will be led by award-winning researcher Dr. John Giggie, associate professor of history and director of the Summersell Center for the Study of the South at The University of Alabama.
