The mission of the Center for Cooperative Media is to grow and strengthen local journalism and support an informed society in New Jersey and beyond.The Center is a primarily grant-funded program of the College of Communication and Media at Montclair State University. <h2>One week. Same city. Two great conferences back-to-back.</h2><p>This year’s <a href="https://collaborativejournalism.org/cjs2023/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Collaborative Journalism Summit</a> will be hosted in person in Washington, D.C. in partnership with the School of Media &amp; Public Affairs at George Washington University on June 6-7.</p><p>The Summit will also take place alongside <a href="https://inn.org/about/our-work/inn-days/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">INN Days 2023</a> from the <a href="https://inn.org/about/our-work/inn-days/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Institute for Nonprofit News</a>. which is set for June 8-9 at George Washington. </p><p>﻿Y<a href="https://collaborativejournalism.org/cjs2022/schedule" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></a>ou’ll be treated to two days of lightning talks, workshops, and participatory discussions about a wide array of #collaborativej topics and projects. <strong>BONUS:</strong> When you register for #CJS2023, you'll receive a $50 discount on registration for INN Days 2023!</p><p><strong>Note that we’re NOT kidding when we say this is a “jam-packed” conference</strong> — the Summit is designed to be a fast-paced event that’s full to the brim.</p><p>When you register, you'll find multiple ticketing options. <h2>IMPORTANT COVID-19 INFORMATION:</h2><p><strong>We strongly encourage wearing a mask while indoors, and ask all individuals to follow current </strong><a href="https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/about-face-coverings.html" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><strong>CDC guidance</strong></a><strong> .</strong></p><p>Our goal is to host an event that prioritizes the health and safety of everyone involved. In the event that the CDC, Montclair State University, the host location/university, the states of New Jersey or Washington, D.C., or other relevant governing bodies issue updated COVID-related guidance or restrictions that prevent us from hosting the Summit in person, the Summit will be hosted in-place via Zoom instead. </p><p>If that happens, <strong>all CJS attendees, speakers, and sponsors will be notified as soon as possible and provided with additional information</strong> about changes to ticket prices, event access, and other issues.</p>
