The word &quot;seder&quot; is the Hebrew word for “order”. The Passover meal is an ordered meal which recounts the story of the exodus from Egypt. It has a great Messianic significance as well. The sacrificial blood of a lamb on the door post delivered the Jews from the Angel of Death, the tenth and final plague upon the Egyptians. This blood foreshadowed the sacrifice of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, who would come to Jerusalem at Passover to fulfill the law of Moses. Jesus became a sacrifice that would deliver all of mankind of bondage of sin and death. The Last Supper with the disciples was a Passover seder meal.
