Join us for the 2021 Poultry Processing Demonstration, part of the &quot;Home Flock Series.&quot; This is a FREE event, register for either online (no live demonstration) or in person. Agenda is as follows:<ul><li>Christina Sigmon, NC State University Prestage Department of Poultry Science: How To Process Poultry On-Site</li></ul><ul><li>Melanie Pollard, NCDA&amp;CS Meat and Poultry Inspection Division: NC Poultry Exempt Processing Update - What You Need To Know To Sell Your Birds Legally</li></ul><ul><li>Break to visit kitchen area to see indoor part of processing</li></ul><ul><li>Lee Menius, NC Choices</li></ul><ul><li>Head outside to view / practice processing poultry </li></ul>The meat harvested during this event is donated to local food banks!A boxed lunch will be provided if you register (in person class only)If you are not comfortable participating, you are welcome to watch, or just stay for the classroom portion of the day. **A link will be sent prior to the event for the online participants.
