<h2><strong>EVENT TIMING:</strong></h2><h3>Panel discussion: 11:30 am-1:00 pm</h3><h2><strong>THE TOPIC:</strong></h2><p>What will the 2021 Iowa legislative session mean for business? During this conversation we will look at what issues may come up in the 2021 Iowa legislative session that could affect decisions made by the state’s business community. We will focus on key issues business leaders hope to address or should be aware of during the 2021 session, and we hope to provide a peek into what business-related issues we might hear about as the state continues to adapt to and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. </p><h2>Questions we plan to tackle:</h2><ul><li>What do you see as the top business-related issue needing to be addressed by lawmakers during the 2021 session?</li><li>How much influence will disruptions from COVID-19 have on the 2021 session?</li><li>Some progress was made last year on issues, such as the child care cliff and broadband expansion. How much focus will be placed on keeping that momentum going in 2021?</li><li>The pandemic placed the spotlight on issues surrounding food insecurity and social and racial inequities in Iowa. What role do you see those issues playing, and what policies should lawmakers consider as we continue efforts toward solving hunger in Iowa and creating a more diverse, inclusive and equitable environment in Iowa?</li><li>How do you see changes in the administration in Washington influencing the business climate in Iowa?</li></ul><h2>Panelists:</h2><ol><li><strong>Andrea Woodard: </strong>Senior Vice President Government Relations and Public Policy, Greater Des Moines Partnership</li><li><strong>Joe Murphy: </strong>Executive Director, Iowa Business Council</li><li><strong>J.D.
