You and your Little are invited to our annual Winter Picnic. Enjoy an afternoon of outdoor fun, including building your own take-home art kit, roasting s'mores, playing interactive outdoor games, surprise guest appearances from the Timberwolves and Lynx mascots, a hands-on STEM activity truck, and more!
2021 Winter Picnic
DATE: Saturday, December 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
LOCATION: Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities, 3110 Washington Ave. N, Minneapolis, MN 55411
PARKING: Street parking is available along both sides of Washington Ave between Lowry and 26th Street
DETAILS
- All participants must wear masks, both inside and outside our building.
- Most activities will take place outdoors, so please dress appropriately. Fire tables and patio heaters will be available to help keep you warm.
- Participants can access our building to use the restroom and for quick warm-ups.
CREATE!
- Build your own winter-themed art kit with our Free Arts team
- Decorate bags for Meals on Wheels to support families in North Minneapolis
PLAY!
- Win great prizes playing Family Feud
- Hands-on STEM activity using different snap circuit parts to create light.
EAT!
- Delicious (and complimentary) food from Go BBQ Food Truck (including gluten-free, vegan/veggie, and pork-free options)
- Indulge your sweet tooth at our Holiday Treat Bar
- Warm up with a hot drink (hot chocolate, apple cider, tea, coffee) at our Beverage Station
Pop-up Storm Creek Shop!
Storm Creek will have a pop-up shop set up with base layers, vests, and jackets. Littles will have the opportunity to pick out something for themselves and a gift for someone else!
