20192 Polk State Pre-Advising (Lake Wales)

These dates are intended for first-time-in-college students who will begin their enrollment during the Spring 2019 semester.

Dates for first-time-in-college students beginning in the Summer 2019 semester will be posted in early April.

IMPORTANT! Polk State policy does not allow students to add courses beyond their first meeting. Please choose your pre-advising session date with this in mind. Otherwise, you may need to delay your enrollment until a later session during the semester.

These sessions take place on the JD ALEXANDER CENTER IN LAKE WALES, beginning on the first floor.

About Pre-Advising at Polk State
All new First-Time-in-College (FTIC) students are REQUIRED to attend one pre-advising session AFTER orientation. Students will register for their first semester's classes during the pre-advising session. Note: Pre-advising sessions are limited to students only - parents, friends, and others are not permitted to attend the session with the student.

Please sign-up for ONE date and time for your pre-advising session. It is the student's obligation to attend on the date s/he schedules.

You must complete orientation PRIOR to attending pre-advising.

Students transferring from another college or university, or those who are re-enrolling at Polk State after having attended previously do not have to attend pre-advising sessions. Note: For the purposes of pre-advising, previous dual-enrollment or early admission enrollment does not exempt a student from pre-advising.
