Description

You're invited!

We hope you'll join us and other journalists, media executives, technologists and entrepreneurs from around the world for the 2019 Collaborative Journalism Summit.

This year's conference builds on the successes of our 2017 and 2018 summits, which focused on case studies of successful collaborative projects and featured keynote speakers representing CrossCheck, ethnic media collaborations, The Panama Papers, Solutions Journalism Network, Electionland and much more.

The 2019 Collaborative Journalism Summit is set for May 16-17 and will be hosted on Thursday at the offices of The Philadelphia Inquirer and Lenfest Institute and on Friday at the studios of WHYY. This year's theme is 'Making an Impact.'

New this year, we're also helping to coordinate a pre-Summit convening in partnership with Solutions Journalism Network at Resolve Philadelphia. That free event, which will run from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, will include a deep-dive look at how Resolve works and include lots of peer discussion and sharing about other collaboratives. If you are interested in that, there is a separate registration page you can find here. (And note that the Resolve pre-Summit convening is eligible for Peer Larning + Collaboration Fund support, so if you want to attend but can't afford the trip, apply! And then you can stay for the Summit.)

The Summit will then officially kick off the evening of Thursday, May 16, at the public space at The Philadelphia Inquirer with appetizers, drinks and registration from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. followed by a panel focused on the collaboration happening within the Philadelphia ecosystem from 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

The Summit will resume at 8 a.m. on Friday, May 17 at the studios of WHYY. A full agenda will be published in early April.

Space is limited for both events, so reserve your spot today. Tickets for the Summit are $50 and include appetizers and cocktails, breakfast, lunch, snacks and T-shirt or conference tote bag.

If you are interested in sponsoring the conference, visit this page to see sponsorship opportunities.

In the meantime, you can also subscribe to our collaborative journalism newsletter for more updates and information.

Have any questions? Let us know! Email conference organizer Stefanie Murray at summit@collaborativejournalism.org.

Hope to see you on May 16!
