2019 Code2040 Summit!

Code2040 is a nonprofit activating, connecting, and mobilizing the largest racial equity community in tech to dismantle the structural barriers that prevent Black and Latinx technologists from fully participating the tech industry.

The current socio-political climate surrounding race and justice can often seem discouraging and overwhelming, but the spirit of resistance is alive and well within Black and Latinx communities as well as among our allies. At Code2040 we recognize that there is a crucial role for each one of us to play, at the intersection of racial equity, justice, and technology.  As technologists and changemakers, we can work together to harness our power to disrupt and heal from cycles of racial trauma in order to and recalibrate the way our society approaches social justice. In order to do this, we’ll need to unmask and transform the products, practices, and policies in our industry that subvert racial equity and further marginalize Black and Latinx communities.
The innovation economy is no longer operating as its own silo, but rather as a symbol and a mechanism for the ways that people access power and interact with the world we live in. This means that we cannot talk about race and justice without also having a conversation about the role technology plays. We would love you to be a part of this conversation.
No matter what phase of your career you’re in or what title you hold, we invite you to join us on Saturday, July 27th for the annual Code2040 Summit. This full day of programming will give you the tools you need to have important dialogues, orchestrate change, and nourish and energize yourself and your community in the process. The day will include good food, stimulating talks from esteemed speakers, and breakout sessions that will allow you to delve deeper into specific topics of interest. You will also have plenty of time to network and meet other like minded folks in your field.

Heavy appetizers and drinks will be served.
Kick-It! is the biggest Code2040 party of the year. Come dance and eat good food with great company after a day of intensive racial equity learnings. 
We are committed to making the Summit accessible to everyone in our community.  There are scholarship funds available for folks that wish to atend but have financial barriers.
