2018 UC San Diego Staff Appreciation Holiday Breakfast

Chancellor Pradeep K. Khosla and the UC San Diego Staff Association invite staff members to attend the 44th Annual Staff Appreciation Holiday Breakfast.

Come celebrate the end of the year with your friends and colleagues, and enjoy a complimentary breakfast served to you by Chancellor Pradeep K. Khosla and other distinguished administrators. The breakfast will be on Wednesday, December 19th between 7am - 10am.

TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE THURSDAY, DECEMBER 6 AT NOON

After registering, you will receive your ticket via email. Please note only one ticket per current staff member is permitted.

NEW THIS YEAR! Seating will be on a first-come first-served basis. We ask that out of consideration to your colleagues, once you've enjoyed your breakfast that you release your seat and visit the photobooth and craft fair!

Craft Fair: The annual arts and crafts fair, featuring homemade items crafted by our UC San Diego staff members will be held in the Price Center West Foyer.

Donations: Representatives from the Veterans Staff Association will be on hand to collect donations for the Homeless Veteran Care Package initiative. They are collecting: travel size toiletries of shampoo, lotion, shaving cream, deodorant, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs, razors, etc, new t-shirts, underwear, and socks in all sizes for men, women, and children and new or gently used clothing particularly jackets and sweatshirts.

You are also encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys to the breakfast. Member of the Staff Association will be on hand to collect the toys and distribute them to various outreach organizations around San Diego.

The table for dropping off ALL donations will be in the East Ballroom. You don't need to be attending the event to drop off donations.

Menu: This year's menu will feature an assortment of hot and cold breakfast items, orange juice, and coffee. There will be gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options.

FAQs

Do I need to arrive at the start time in order to be served breakfast? No, breakfast will be served for the entirety of the event.

Where should I enter? Tickets will be taken at the entrance to the East Ballroom. Please enter the second level of Price Center East via the Triton Steps.

Is my registration/ticket transferable? No, unfortunately, tickets are not transferable.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event? Please bring your current UC San Diego Staff ID. This breakfast is for staff members only, please do not bring spouses or children to the event.

Will there be gluten-free and vegan options served? Yes

Will Thornton and Hillcrest have a similar holiday event? Please reach out to your supervisor for more information. Events are planned by each facility independent of the breakfast at the La Jolla campus.

Do I need to register for a ticket to visit the Craft Fair or bring a donation to the Toy and Clothing Drive? No, you do not need to register for a ticket in order to attend the Craft Fair or drop off a donation.

Is my student worker allowed to register for a ticket and attend? No. This event is for career staff only.

Where should I park? We strongly encourage walking from your office, taking the Campus Shuttle, or carpooling.

Parking will be available for all off-campus staff members. Gilman parking structure will not require specific campus passes. Parking in “V” and “B” spaces will be allowed with any UC San Diego parking pass from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19th only. Limited cart service will also be available from Gilman at those times for those who need additional assistance.
