Each year Dr Zagami conducts free workshops for teachers supported by a Google CS Educator PD grant.

All workshops will be held at Griffith University's Gold Coast campus in room 1.09 of the Arts and Education 1 building (G30) on Saturday afternoons from noon to 4pm.

The 2018 workshop for Primary Education Years K-4 teachers will be held from Noon to 4pm on the 1st of September at Griffith University, Gold Coast campus. This year the focus will be on robotics.

The 2018 workshop for Primary Education Years 5 & 6 teachers will be held from Noon to 4pm on the 8th of September at Griffith University, Gold Coast campus. This year the focus will be on drones.

The 2018 workshop for Secondary Education Years 7-10 teachers will be held from Noon to 4pm on the 15th of September at Griffith University, Gold Coast campus. This year the focus will be on manipulables - including Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality.

Registration is through Eventbrite.

A catered light lunch (Pizza and Softdrink/Water) will be available from 11:30 am prior to the workshop.

Internet access will be available for the workshop and participants are encouraged to bring personal digital devices (Laptops/tablets).

Free event parking will be available for the workshop. Parking is not inspected on Saturdays, but free tickets are available from 3 machines on the campus, see the map for locations.

Park in the General/Casual parking areas and enter the following details into the parking machines to receive free parking.

Enter your license plate number then Press OK
Press OK again (this selects the 'Permit' option shown on screen - not the right/left arrows CC / Cash)
For the 7-10 Workshop on the 15th enter in 56532 as your permit number.
Press OK
It will search for a permit, and then say that there is $6 parking, valid until the end of the day
Choose Y/N for your receipt

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Free event parking will be available for the workshops. The Gold Coast Tram travels to the university, several bus lines, and bike racks are available outside the building.

What can I bring to the event?

Please bring along any technology you wish. Internet access will be available.
