NOTE - CEUs will NOT be provided at this class this time, as the class is NOT NCBTMB certified.

After 2013 and 2015, AMTA-CA’s Cadaver Lab is back by popular demand in 2018!  Have you ever wondered what muscle tissue looks and feels like under the skin while massaging your clients? Have you ever estimated where the muscles attached to the bones as you applied myofascial release to the attachments, trying to remember the detailed diagrams from your Trail Guide to the Body? Now you have a chance to not only see, but to also touch some of your favorite muscles in the human body in person.

Join us for an exciting and a unique experience that many massage therapists rarely receive in their basic massage school education. Palmer College of Chiropractic West is opening up their Cadaver Lab for AMTA-CA members to participate in this very hands-on experience to expand your skills of going deeper under the skin.

In this Cadaver Lab you will have a closer look to see what is under our skin. You will observe and (optionally) feel the relation of muscles, fascia, and bones, how they fit together, how the blood vessels and nervous system supply to them, and where internal organs are in the dorsal and ventral body cavities. The functional anatomy and the clinical relevance of the body regions will be addressed as well.

About our Instructor Dr. Mehdi Moossavi, M.A., D.C.:

Dr. Mehdi is a Professor at Palmer Chiropractic University, Palmer West San Jose campus. He teaches Human Anatomy, Physical Therapy, and other Chiropractic related courses in addition to coordinating the Anatomy laboratory program. He also maintains a private clinical practice in San Jose which primarily focuses on family and sports chiropractic.
