Dear Colleague,

You are cordially invited to participate in the Threat Assessment ReGional Evaluation Team (TARGET) Working Group Meeting, Monday, January 23, 2017. The meeting will be held at Long Beach City College (LBCC), 4901 E. Carson Street, Long Beach, California 90808. The meeting will be held at the Building T, Room 1200.

Parking available in Parking Lot M.

TARGET is a multi-disciplinary approach to threat assessment on college and university campuses. In this approach, law enforcement, academia, mental health, and technology partners represent the multi-disciplinary team.

The goal of TARGET is to develop best practices in the identification, assessment, and management of threats to Institutes of Higher Education (IHE).

To achieve this goal, TARGET seeks to identify Subject Matter Experts (SME); share information; and facilitate training.

The meeting will be held from 8:00am to 12:00pm. Check-in will begin at 7:00am. Please print your ticket and bring it with you for check-in. The following topics will be discussed:

  • LBPD Medical Evaluation Team
