Winter Break Bus - Sponsored by USG

Important Information from The Undergraduate Student Government

Bus loading will begin shortly before Noon on Saturday, December 23, 2017. The bus WILL leave at 8:00 AM sharp, so please arrive early. (The USG will NOT refund you if you fail to arrive on time.)

Please make sure that you, THE STUDENT, do not have an exam at this time because this will not count as an excused absence for your exam. You are responsible for working this out on your own.

Students will need to present their Tech ID card in order to board the bus. A USG Representative will be assisting with check-in and boarding.

There is limited space on the bus, so please limit your carry-ons to small items only. (Personal electronics, small pillows, blankets, purses, small backpacks, etc.) For luggage, we recommend that students bring no more than one large suitcase. For anyone planning to transport skis or a snowboard, please only bring a medium or small sized suitcase.

The stops on the route are listed below. It is the rider's responsibility to notify their ride of when the bus is expected to arrive during the December 23 trip. The estimated times that the bus is expected to be at each stop are listed below. Again, these are only estimates based on distance. Actual times will likely vary due to weather, traffic, and road construction.

For the return route on Saturday, January 13, 2018, the USG recommends that you arrive at your designated pick-up location at least 20 minutes before the estimated departure time.

The bus will be stopped for 15 minutes at each stop. It is the your responsibility to be back on the bus within the allotted time if you choose to get off for food, etc.

Depart from the Memorial Union Building Bus Stop

(On the Michigan Tech Campus)

8:00 AM (Boarding begins at 7:40 AM)

St. Ignace - McDonalds - approximately 260 miles (from Houghton)

12:45 PM - 1:00 PM

Gaylord - Burger King - approximately 60 Miles (from St. Ignace)

2:00 PM - 2:15 PM

Clare - McDonalds - approximately 90 miles (from Gaylord)
