Women in Film is the preeminent organization for the advancement of women infilm, television, advertising, digital and on-screen mediaindustries. With a focus on driving the advancement of women in this industry, WIF provides a dynamic network to facilitate the exchange of ideas and opportunities and builds a solid educational platform to accelerate the professional development of our members. The Chicago chapter of this dynamic and diverse organization is dedicated to promoting the professional and educational advancement of our members, men and women alike, while contributing to the overall success of Chicago as a provider of high-caliber commercial, television, independent, and major film production.

Women in Film Chicago is proud to once again host the Focus Awards, our signature fundraising event, on Wednesday, February 22, 2016 at Columbia College, 1104 S. Wabash Ave. 8th Floor Chicago, IL 60605. Your ticket includes access to our open bar and appetizers. 
The mission of the Focus Awards is two-fold: to raise the necessary capital to provide quality programming, networking and mentorship opportunities for women in the advertising, film and television industries and to honor the accomplishments of the noted "superwomen" who continually put Chicago on the map. 
We are honoring 4 Spectacular Women:
Mary Morten lifelong social activist and film producer making a difference for marginalized communities.
Tari Segal DP/Operator on Chicago Justice 
Julia Sweeney, Saturday Night Live alumna, comedian, writer, & executive producer.
Julie Smolyansky the youngest female CEO of a publicly traded company, Lifeway Foods Inc, philanthropist, and producer.
