Description

The Rt. Rev. Laura J. Ahrens, Deacon Bonnie Matthews and the Deacons Council enthusiastically invite you to the Annual Deacons Renewal of Vows on Sunday, November 5, at Christ Church Cathedral. The Rt. Rev. Barbara Harris, first woman ordained Bishop in the Anglican Communion, is the guest preacher.

You are encouraged to invite your significant others, relatives and friends.

Deacons will begin the day engaging with the community while serving and enjoying lunch with guests of Church Street Eats in the Cathedral House. Church Street Eats is our Cathedral’s feeding program.

We understand that most deacons have liturgical responsibilities on Sunday mornings. We invite you to consider making arrangements to take this Sunday away from your parish. Serving at Church Street Eats allows us to recall our ordination vow to “look for Christ in all others, being ready to help and serve those in need.”
