Overview
Learn traditional Mexican embroidery techniques in a beginner-friendly embroidery circle!
Workshop Description
This workshop will be an exploration on the "pata de gallo" stitch used in Tenango de Doria embroidery in Mexico. We will explore many different patterns of animals and flowers, and you’ll choose your favorite to embroider! Take home a fabric square featuring your chosen traditional motif, a needle, and a palette of vivid embroidery threads. All materials will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring a piece of fabric to practice on and a favorite mug/thermos for tea!
