Written and directed by

JOHN SAYLES (Lone Star, Eight Men Out, Matewan, The Secret of Roan Inish)

After crash-landing in Harlem, a mute extraterrestrial with a dark complexion and miraculous healing hands meets the locals, gets a job fixing shit, and finds life on Earth isn’t all that fair. All the while evading a pair of melanistically-challenged intergalactic bounty hunters. Part sci-fi comedy, part social satire, think E.T. with street smarts and considerably less Spielbergian sentimentality.
