OCTFME presents Preserving The Pocket: Go-Go Through The Lens

Overview

Celebrate Go-Go Preservation Week with films, interactive activities, and a conversation with the voices behind DC's Go-Go culture.

What does it take to keep DC's Go-Go stories alive? Join the DC Office of Cable Television, Film, Music & Entertainment (OCTFME) for Preserving the Pocket: Go-Go Through the Lens, a Go-Go Preservation Week celebration at MLK Library.

The evening brings together a curated selection of Go-Go films, interactive activities, and a conversation moderated by Anwan "Big G" Glover. Hear from people who help carry the culture forward and explore how film captures the sound, stories, and community that make Go-Go a part of everyday life in DC.

Whether you grew up up going to Go-Gos or you're just getting to know the music, come spend an evening with the people and stories behind DC's signature sound.
