Funny. Filthy. Heartbreaking. A Montreal boy escapes his chaotic, deeply eccentric family by imagining he was conceived by a tomato and is therefore Italian. With an overactive imagination and a desperate crush on the girl next door, Léolo tries to survive by daydreaming and writing. When he isn’t visiting family in the asylum, or beating off, or trying to kill or be killed by his grandfather.
