Masumi and the Mystery Monkeys

Join Masumi & The Mystery Monkeys for an unforgettable evening of retro J-Pop with an all-Japanese, two-guitar quintet!

Get ready for a night of Japanese music, nostalgic grooves, and seriously fun vibes at Domo Alley-Gato Tatsu-Ya!

Join us for a one-of-a-kind musical adventure with Masumi & The Mystery Monkeys (MMM), a borderless retro J-Pop group bringing the sounds and spirit of Japanese pop to life.

Enjoy 20% off food during the show! So come hungry, grab some delicious bites, and settle in for an unforgettable evening of music.

Formed by funky guitarist Fumihito Sugawara (Hiroshima), Japanese soul singer and bassist Mas Kuge (Fukuoka), and jazz drummer Masumi Jones (Hiroshima), MMM puts a fresh spin on the Japanese pop songs they love, introducing audiences to the sounds of a different era.

For an even bigger musical journey, they'll be joined by special guests Kyuko Naydeck (Nagoya) on vocals and Moto, a Japanese blues guitarist known for playing with Uncle Sam, as they explore the irresistible sounds of City Pop and beyond.

Expect infectious rhythms, retro sounds, incredible musicianship, and an evening that celebrates the connections we make through music and art. Bring your friends and get ready for a little Japanese pop magic!
