Flow, Explore & Fly – Hip Openers & Arm Balances Workshop
Explore Flying Pigeon and Dragonfly in a playful 90-minute yoga workshop in Amsterdam. Build strength and mobility. Lift-off is optional!
This 90-minute workshop is designed to explore how hip mobility, strength and balance come together. Through targeted preparation exercises, flowing sequences and step-by-step guidance, we’ll build the foundations for two playful arm balances: Flying Pigeon (Eka Pada Galavasana) and Dragonfly.
We’ll explore the hip movements, core engagement and weight shifts that support these poses, breaking each one down into manageable stages. You’ll have time to experiment, ask questions and revisit the steps that work for your body—with variations, props and individual guidance along the way.
Expect a balance of focused practice and playful exploration. You can work independently or try optional partner exercises—come alone or bring a friend!
Who is it for?
Anyone with some yoga practice who is curious about arm balances or wants to explore them further. No previous arm-balance experience is needed. Variations and options will help you explore at your own pace.
Lifting off is optional. The preparation is part of the practice, and there’s plenty to discover with your feet on the ground.
