Modern dating is already confusing.

Add intuition, chemistry, attachment, dating apps, spiritual beliefs, emotional wounds, “energy,” mixed signals, love bombing, disappearing acts, intense attraction, and people who are very good at presenting exactly what you want to see…

…and it becomes very easy to mistake intensity for intimacy.

Especially if you are empathic, intuitive, highly sensitive, spiritual, or naturally inclined to look beneath the surface.

Because those qualities can be strengths.

But without discernment, they can also make you easier to hook.

You feel someone intensely and assume the connection must be meaningful.

You sense pain underneath their behavior and excuse things you should be paying attention to.

You confuse anxiety with intuition.

You confuse chemistry with compatibility.

You confuse being “seen” with being mirrored.

You interpret inconsistency as depth, mystery, trauma, or fear of intimacy — when sometimes inconsistency is simply inconsistency.

Love, Energy & Red Flags is a grounded, practical class about staying open to connection without becoming easy to manipulate, drain, confuse, or emotionally destabilize.

We’ll look at patterns commonly associated with manipulative and dark-triad-style behavior — not so you can diagnose strangers from a dating profile, but so you can become much better at recognizing behavior that matters.

We’ll cover love bombing, artificial intensity, mirroring, breadcrumbing, intermittent reinforcement, manipulative and exploitative personality traits, “energy vampire” dynamics, chemistry versus compatibility, intuition versus anxiety or projection, intensity versus genuine intimacy, over-functioning in relationships, and stronger emotional and energetic boundaries.

The goal is not to make you suspicious of everyone you date.

The goal is the opposite.

To help you become grounded enough that you do not have to close your heart just to protect yourself.

You can be intuitive without being gullible.

Compassionate without becoming responsible for someone else’s chaos.

Open without being absorbent.

Spiritual without explaining away obvious behavior.

And attracted to someone without handing them the steering wheel to your nervous system.
