Embossed tin decorations

Join Kathy Hutton in her studio for a festive themed, relaxed and practical introduction to the art of Embossing tin decorations.

Learn to design and emboss your own tin decorations in this fun and sociable festive workshop.

I've over 15 years of experience in teaching workshops, with my guidence you will learn how to create your own festive designs, transfer them onto the metailc sheet and learn the skils to emboss your design, creating your own set of decorations.

We will start by practising on a simple design that I wiill provide and I'll show you step by step how to build up the detail and acheive different visual effects.

You can then design your on images, or if you prefer, you can use designs that I have already drawn.

You don't need to bring anything, I will provide the tools and metal sheets, enough for you to make multiple decortions. I will also have some ribbons and extra elements which you can use to embelish your work.

I will have images and inspiration for you to work from, but please feel free to bring your own images if you already have something specific in mind.

I'll provide tea, coffee and homemade cake.

Who can attend?

This course is suitable for complete beginners and those wishing to recap or brush up on skills. There's no need to be confident at drawing, I can provide images that can be copied or traced.

This course is aimed at Adults, however children aged 12+ are welcome when accompanied by a responsible adult.

We will be using sharp embossing tools, anyone under 18 must remain under the supervision of their responsible adult. Both the Child and Adult must book and take part in the workshop.

Cancelation policy

If your plans change, please let me know as soon as possible.

If you cancel at least 7 days before the workshop, you will receive a full refund (bar the booking fee).

If you cancel within 7 days of the workshop, unfortuntely I am unable to offer a refund, as materiels may have been ordered and I may not be able to fill your place at short notice.

Occassionaly I may need to cancel or postpone the workshop due to illness, severe weather conditions or insufficient bookings. In this situation, I will let you know as soon as possible and may offer to trasnfer your booking to a new date, or if this isnt suitable, I will offer you a full refund.

I reserve the right to cancel a workshop if there are insufficient participants for the workshop to take part.

I regret that I cannot reimburse any additional costs such as accomodattion or travel if a workshop is cancelled or postponed.
