BOOMBOX [SAT.11/7]

BOOMBOX is back with the legend SHORTKUT [Beat Junkies/ISP] + COMPUTER JAY's "Overthrow Pirate Radio" Album Release Party!

[SAT.11/7] BOOMBOX welcomes the triumphant return of turntable icon SHORTKUT [Beat Junkies/Invisibl Skratch Piklz] + COMPUTER JAY's "Overthrow Pirate Radio" Album Release Party!!

One of the most influential DJs of all time, the don SHORTKUT is about as legendary as they come. He's won countless DJ competitions, innovated a wide array of turntablism techniques, toured the world multiple times over, and is a member of 2 of the most legendary DJ crews ever...the Beat Junkies & the Invisibl Skratch Piklz. He's been inducted into the Bay Area Hip Hop Hall of Fame, has his own "DJ Shortkut Day" in his hometown of Daly City, and has been given the title of "DMC Legend" by the prestigious DJ battle organization. Even with all those accolades, he may be most revered for his ability to cold rock a party! He's one of the few DJs who is both a foundational pioneer of turntablism AND an absolute dancefloor assassin. We could not be more honored to welcome one of the undisputed icons of DJing back to our turntables!

Our brother COMPUTER JAY is a man of many talents. He's a producer, a DJ, a pianist, and an audio engineer...but this time he joins us to celebrate a very special project. In March Jay teamed up with famed artist/muralist/designer Tristan Eaton to [allegedly] launch a pirate radio station entitled "Overthrow Radio" with the goal of gathering their talented friends to speak up about what's happening in our country. The result...a full album produced by Jay broadcast + recorded live featuring the likes of Everlast, Imani [The Pharcyde], Chali 2na, Tash [Tha Alkaholiks], Myka 9 [Freestyle Fellowship], Opio [Souls of Mischief], Blu, Reverie, Z-Trip, Josef Leimberg, Chris Clarke, & more! The project is being released only on vinyl with a fine art sleeve with all proceeds going to families affected by I.C.E. We are hyped to welcome Jay back to our decks and support this amazing project!

With an absolute turntable legend on the set + one of our brothers celebrating the release of a very special album, you know this one's gonna be wild. Cop DISCOUNT PRESALE TICKETS now to witness the fitness. Let's get it, Los Angeles!
