The 113th Boars Head Dinner Celebration
Join us for the Boar’s Head Dinner, the Scarab Club’s century-old holiday tradition and an evening of revelry celebrating Detroit’s artists.
Since the Scarab Club’s earliest years, Scarabs have closed out the year with the Boar’s Head Dinner, a holiday feast modeled on the grand Henry VIII banquets and once opened by parading a roasted boar’s head through the room to the cheers of the merrymakers.
More than a century later, the tradition carries on as our holiday celebration of art, artists, and Detroit’s creative history.
Join us for cocktails by the fireplace, a formal dinner and toast, dessert and live music in the Historic Lounge, and the signing of our beams as we honor the legacy behind us and raise a glass to the year ahead.
New Members may partake in the Historic Boars Head Procession as we celebrate and welcome them to the club.
Open to all who wish to celebrate art, in a gallery that is almost 100 years old.
