Over the Wire

Reflections, a Boston-based contemporary voice/viola duo, present the second concert in their current season: Over the Wire. Over the wire explores the imprecise nature of communication over long distances. Basing itself in the friction that appears when one attempts to connect over long distances with memories and loved ones who can no longer experience a shared reality, this program views this central theme from a desire for belonging and understanding in a new location. The audience is asked to consider what it means to be away and how one might maintain emotional intimacy from afar. This program was developed to explore these themes with new works by Liz Derstine, Clayton Trumbull, and Timothy Cunningham alongside music by Daijana Wallace.
