Schmoozapalooza 2027: Spark Your Marketing Career

Schmoozapalooza is BCIT’s annual networking event connecting second-year Digital Marketing and Brand Strategy students with Vancouver’s marketing industry. Hosted by students, for students, the evening brings together emerging marketers and industry professionals, many of them from the companies that sponsor the program’s internships.
The evening begins with speed mentoring, where students meet one-on-one with industry professionals in short, focused conversations. It’s a chance for students to ask questions, get career advice, and make a strong first impression on potential future employers.
Afterward, guests can enjoy open networking in a relaxed setting, with beverages and light food served throughout the night. Guests can also bid on items in our silent auction, which supports the event.
For industry professionals: Share your experience, mentor the next generation of marketers, and connect with talented students who are preparing to enter the industry.
For students: Build your network, practise your professional communication skills, and connect with the people and companies shaping the industry.
Join us for an evening of meaningful conversations, new connections, and a great night out with the BCIT marketing community.

Event Starts & Arrivals
Guests arrive and check in as students and speed mentoring participants gather to kick off the evening.

Speed Mentoring - (By Invitation Only)
A lively series of short, one-on-one conversations gives students and internship sponsors the chance to meet multiple people in a single hour. Students rotate between sponsors for quick introductions, questions, and connections before the open networking begins. Invitations to participate will be sent to selected internship sponsors in December.

Open Networking, Food & Beverages, and Silent Auction
The remainder of the evening is dedicated to open networking, with food and beverages served throughout. The silent auction starts at this time and closes at approximately 8:45 p.m.
