Towards Transparency: Access to Collections from Colonial Contexts
Join us in Leiden for presentations, demonstrations and dialogues on transparency of and access to collections from colonial contexts.
On 23 November, the Colonial Collections Consortium is organizing Towards Transparency: Access to Collections from Colonial Contexts, during an in-person event in Leiden. Transparency for collections from colonial contexts has been central to the work of the Consortium in redressing historical injustice.
This event will launch two instruments which the Consortium has developed for this: the Colonial Collections Datahub and the Research Aids. In addition, this event provides space for exchanging ideas and perspectives on the meaning of transparency in this context.
The main program will run from 13:00 - 18:00 (walk-in 12:30-13:00), with optional tours and demonstrations in the morning from 12:00-13:00. Further details on the program will be coming soon.
This in-person event is preceded by two days of online exchange on transparency of and access to collections from colonial contexts on 19 and 20 November. Register separately for the online programme via WebinarGeek.
