Vigil For Morocco's Dogs in Washington, DC
Join SPCA International for a peaceful vigil honoring the countless dogs who have lost their lives in Morocco and call for humane solutions
On November 17, 2026, animal advocates around the world will hold demonstrations as part of a Global Day of Action for Morocco's dogs.
We are deeply concerned by reports of mass killings of stray dogs across Morocco. These dogs are living beings who feel fear and pain. They deserve protection, not eradication. Humane solutions already exist and have been formally recognized by the Moroccan government.
How to participate:
- Lay flowers in remembrance: Bring flowers to place at our memorial banner in honor of the dogs who have tragically lost their lives.
- Leave a paw-print tribute: Stamp our banner with a paw print using red ink as a symbolic remembrance of the dogs who have been killed.
- Stand with us: Join fellow advocates to raise awareness and call for humane, effective solutions for Morocco's street dogs.
Please join us for this peaceful vigil and help give a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves.
