///ENGLISH///
Welcome to Rooms and Frames, Rom og Rammer, Ystafelloedd & Ffrâmau: a fanzine workshop exploring how cultural traditions and personal stories are told through objects found in the home and in daily life, in Norway and Wales.
In this workshop, we will use the concepts of the room and the frame as a starting point to examine, reflect upon, and discuss cultural history through craft traditions and domestic objects in Wales and Norway. Together, we will explore themes such as cultural belonging, personal, gendered, or marginalised narratives within the everyday, and modern forms of folklore.
We will be working with physical images, collage, and text. All materials will be provided, along with tea and cakes! You can prepare in advance by making a list of ten items found in your kitchen.
The workshop is organised by Hattie Morrison and Emma Aars at Bingen Bok, with support from the Nordic Culture Fund and the Arts Council of Wales.
