A performance conceived by Monica Casadei as a futuristic “action ballet”, which, as is customary in her work, brings together the entire creative world of Artemis through a dynamic blend of artistic languages.

But who is Figaro, really? In Monica Casadei’s interpretation, Figaro is the prototype of the successful man in today’s world. Rossini’s hero becomes the emblem of someone who is able to meet the expectations of a society that demands the constant achievement of goals, with efficiency, vitality and savoir-faire, while optimising time and energy.

From a choreographic perspective, the character of Figaro multiplies through the bodies of the entire company.

Regardless of gender, the performers move with the determination, energy and discipline of a special task force: strong, driven and hyper-focused. Their dance relentlessly manipulates time and space, continuously weaving and unravelling an endless network of changes in direction, intersecting trajectories and intricate patterns of movement.

The result is an action-driven performance suspended between the shadow of the past and a flashing, frenetic present. The unattainable image of the perfect human being appears and disappears before the audience’s eyes, multiplying through the dancers and their technical virtuosity.
